FRIENDS OF TRULL MEADOW

Friends of Trull Meadow was set up to involve the community in maintaining and preserving the meadow for the benefit of the public in perpetuity.

It acts as a forum for the public to contribute their ideas for the maintenance and improvement of the meadow through the FOTM Committee who then make recommendations to the Trustees and are responsible for the necessary
implementation.

Regular working parties help look after the meadow and provide support for fund raising events. Improvements have been made to the access to the meadow from Wild Oak Lane and a litter bin installed; wood has been logged and sold from from the fallen oak tree and a bench has been cut in the fallen trunk; a replacement oak tree has been planted in the meadow and trees have been planted near the bridge [oak, hornbeam, wild service and hazel]; hedge whips have been planted along some of the boundaries; brambles and nettles have ben cut back; a new bench has been provided in the north west corner.

We are keen to encourage more members of the community to join us and put forward any ideas  that would help preserve the meadow.

Either e-mail trullmeadow@gmail.com or contact Anthony Kent on 01823 423196.
